It is a great honour to announce the inaugural Northern
Ireland Shopping Centre Awards 2004 and unveil the
criteria for the 10 categories.
The N.I.R.S.C. (NI Region of Shopping Centres) organisation
has represented the NI shopping centre industry for the past
15 years, facilitating many seminars, focus groups and educational
visits targeted at our industry professionals. This is an
important area of development and progression which we will
continue to provide to enhance the calibre of the people and
centres in our association.
It is time to recognise and reward our brightest and best;
and the N.I.R.S.C. Awards will achieve that. 10 categories
will be independently adjudicated and scored by expert judges
from across the UK, and our worthy winners will be individuals
and centres who show all the hallmarks of business excellence.
Our awards would not be possible without the generous support
of our sponsors and I wish to take this opportunity to thank
them all. The range of organisations on board expands our
network of business professionals within our association and
we are delighted they are part of this awards process.
The Awards Gala presentation ceremony is a black-tie event
which takes place on Friday 15th October in the magnificent
surroundings of the Great Hall, Belfast City Hall. Our host
is Eamonn Holmes and we can guarantee you a fabulous evening
of fun and entertainment, excitement and celebration.

to support the 1st ever Northern Ireland
Region, Shopping Centre Awards. Since my 1st
involvement in the industry in 1983, we have witnessed
many changes throughout the Shopping Centre scene and
I would like to congratulate the Northern Ireland Region
of Shopping Centres on their continuous effort over
the years to communicate the evolution of the industry
to its members in such a professional manner.

are quite rightly justified in developing
and building their own awards process.
